Smith Senior Liv­ing enrich­es lives by cre­at­ing com­mu­ni­ties where old­er adults thrive. That’s been the not-for-prof­it’s mis­sion since 1924.

While Smith Cross­ing in Orland Park and Smith Vil­lage in Chicago’s Bev­er­ly neigh­bor­hood boast a lega­cy of flour­ish­ing in the South­land for almost a cen­tu­ry, both life plan com­mu­ni­ties clear­ly are root­ed in the 21^st cen­tu­ry. The com­ple­tion of the Green­leaf Rehab Cen­ter at Smith Cross­ing in Sep­tem­ber 2020 and a com­pre­hen­sive mod­ern­iza­tion of Smith Vil­lage’s rehab and skilled nurs­ing care wing to open in fall 2021 are tes­ta­ments to advanc­ing Smith’s mission.

“Our long­stand­ing tra­di­tion of car­ing is the foun­da­tion for our growth,” says Kevin McGee, Smith Senior Liv­ing pres­i­dent and CEO. ​“We look to the future to invest in fresh approach­es for today’s old­er adults.”

Both Smith Vil­lage and Smith Cross­ing earn top marks from the Cen­ters for Medicare & Med­ic­aid Ser­vices (CMS) and the Com­mis­sion on Accred­i­ta­tion of Rehab Facil­i­ties (CARF).
